Jeanine Yutani - Owner
Balanced Body Master Instructor
Jeanine was first introduced to Pilates when a diagnosis of a serious illness and a major car accident put an end to her competitive martial arts career. Her physical therapist used Pilates as part of her rehabilitation, and Jeanine soon fell in love with the benefits of Pilates training. She began working for Pilates-based physical therapy practices and completed Balanced Body's Instructor Training program in 2008, and is a Balanced Body Master Instructor for Pilates, Anatomy in 3-Dimensions and CoreAlign. Jeanine is also a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) through the Pilates Method Alliance, the only third-party certification available in the Pilates field and NCCA-accredited Pilates certification program which requires participants to continually improve their Pilates expertise and undertake ongoing continuing education.
Because of her experiences living with autoimmune conditions and the several years she spent working in a rehabilitative/physical therapy setting, Jeanine helped develop modified Pilates programming, equipment and classes targeted for individuals living with different forms of arthritis and other orthopedic issues. Today, she specializes in teaching Pilates for rehabilitation and wellness, and in using Pilates and related mindful movement techniques for therapeutic, orthopedic, corrective and post-rehab exercise. Jeanine has over 30 years experience teaching movement, from swimming to dance to martial arts and Pilates. She was inducted into the Martial Arts Masters Hall of Fame in 2004, and continues to teach women's self-defense classes.
Jeanine is a Certified Therapeutic Exercise Specialist, Certified Orthopedic Exercise Specialist, Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist, and has pursued additional training, continuing education and certificates in Pilates for Scoliosis & Hypermobility and ScolioPilates, Pilates for Breast Cancer, Prenatal & Postpartum Pilates, Pilates for the Feet, Pilates for the Shoulder & Upper Quadrant, Pilates for the Pelvis & Lower Quadrant, Pfilates for the Pelvic Floor, Pilates for Buff Bones, and more.
Meet Our Staff
Lynne has been a Pilates devotee for nearly 8 years, and is a self-proclaimed CoreAlign addict! She began her practice hoping to alleviate pain and discomfort from an old injury, and through Pilates was able to manage many of the issues that had been challenging her for years. You're likely to see Lynne in a Pilates or CoreAlign class just about every day, so be sure to say hello...and thank her for keeping Via Pilates the clean and beautiful place we all appreciate!
Lynne handles the day-to-day operations of the studio, including general and retail management (yup, she's the one to ask about the latest styles of ToeSox and Tavi Noir!). Her passion for Via Pilates is clear in the care she takes of the studio on a daily basis, but her bigger goal is to help people discover what Pilates and CoreAlign can do for their own health and wellness.
Pilates Instructor Trainee
Kathy was a self-professed "non-exerciser" when she discovered Pilates nearly 7 years ago. She found that the mind-body focus of Pilates provided a way to address her body's postural and alignment issues, as well as a way improve her overall mental and physical well-being. She's even used Pilates to help her rehab from a severe ankle injury.
Kathy's nurturing spirit encouraged her to pursue teaching so she could share the Pilates method and its benefits with others. Teaching Pilates is quite a career shift from a desk job, but Kathy believes its never too late - or too soon - to start taking care of your body!
Pilates Instructor Trainee
Aaron's journey into Pilates began nearly 8 years ago when he was seeking an alternative to back surgery. He began with mat classes several times per week and soon realized that the strength and flexibility central to the Pilates method was the key to improving his back pain. Aaron began adding in Reformer and CoreAlign classes, and has managed to avoid back surgery! Now, he hopes he can share the benefits he found in his Pilates practice with others.
Outside of the Pilates studio, Aaron spends much of his time teaching and mentoring children as an Elementary School Assistant Principal for the Clark County School District.
Yoga Instructor, Pilates Instructor Trainee
Camille was introduced to yoga at the age of 20. She was instantly drawn to how powerful and aware it made her feel both on and off her mat. As her fascination with the practice deepened, she made the decision to fully immerse herself in the study of the ancient technology of Yoga. Upon the completion of her 200 hour teacher training with with Claudine and Honza Lafond of YogaBeyond in Bali, she began teaching Vinyasa and Yin Yoga to students of various backgrounds and fitness levels. She is known for her unique blend of dynamic sequencing with thought-provoking insights and intentional hands-on adjustments that will challenge you both mentally and physically.
Camille's passion for teaching movement also led her to begin her 500 hour Balanced Body Pilates teacher training at Via Pilates. Teaching mindful movement is one of her many passions along with writing, traveling, dancing and being anywhere people are gathered to move, flow and find the truest expressions of themselves.
Via Pilates is proud to welcome a number of guest instructors who participate in teaching classes and special workshops for clients and instructors alike. Stay in touch to find out who is coming to Via Pilates next!
