Arthritis & related conditions

Arthritis is a general term referring to more than 100 types of joint diseases that affect 53 million adults and 300,000 children in the U.S. One of the best known remedies for many types of arthritis is exercise. Proper physical activity, such as Pilates, helps in maintaining flexibility, muscle strength and overall mobility.

Back pain & injury

At some point in their lifetime, back pain affects an estimated 80% of American adults and is one of the country's leading causes of disability. Pain can be in the lower, middle or upper back, and the degree, type and duration of pain can vary greatly. Back pain can come on suddenly and last less than six weeks (acute), or can continue three months or longer (chronic).

Prenatal & postpartum fitness

In general, the stronger a body is going into and during pregnancy, the stronger it will be when and after the baby is born - however, every pregnancy is different, so always listen to your body during exercise. It is important for an expectant mother to have a custom workout plan for each stage of pregnancy.
